As of 2026 there are 16 ATP 500 events, played on hard, clay and grass courts around the world — among them Dubai, Rotterdam, Barcelona, London’s Queen’s Club, Halle, Vienna and Basel. The tier was expanded in 2025 when Dallas, Doha and Munich were promoted from the ATP 250 level. Although they rank below the Masters 1000s, these tournaments still attract many of the world’s best, helped by tour rules that require leading players to commit to a minimum number of 500-level events each season.
